Today, I took the kids to St Joseph School in Hilo to attend their Open House. I'm looking for a better school for Reece next year (7th grade). Here's a link if you wanna go check it out www.sjhshilo.org
I really like the school and their program.
But Reece is not liking the thought of leaving her friends at Keaau Middle School. But, oh well.. the tuition there is between 6 and 7K. So first I need to secure a job.
We stopped to get some DVD and books at the Library, before we headed home. I'm reading, My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Just started tonight.
I have to get working on my class work. I'll email out the chicken recipes today to Auntie Fely and Philip.

Here a square.. there a square...
Here's a picture of an 8 inch afghan square. I found the pattern online and made it to send to a fellow crocheter for her project.
I'll try to post the website if I can. Still trying to figure this Blog thing out.
But the square is just the beginning...

Back to School
Wow, this week has been a much needed relief for me. The kids went back to school from winter break, our 1st PTSA meeting was this week, I began an online class in Administrative Assistant Fundamentals, also started in a new online crochet class (pictures to follow on my crochet project, joined the 2008 50 Book Challenge @ Crochetville, and began the task of dissolving the girls "TV" room, to a no-tv, no-play room. More details about that to follow in another post.
I'm glad that the kids are out of my hair, Roy's back to work and I can get moving with my life.
I'm looking forward to getting a job, gaining some self-confidence, and de-stress my life.
So, I'm gonna stop here and go to work on my crochet project - Bottom up Pineapple Shawl.
Till then..

Again...
So today, Roy went to Oahu to begin the process of his 2nd deployment to the Middle East. You know, they worked on his will, stated who his dependants are, updated the contact information for the people the Army needs to call if Roy gets hurt, lost or is killed.
Sigh, again. He's doing this again. We're doing this again. Again.
This picture was taken the day Roy returned to US soil. My favorite military term from that was "Boots on the Ground." His safety was not guaranteed till... his boot's were on the ground. This was on 13 January 2006, at Kalaeloa, Oahu. Tomorrow will make a mere 2 years that he and the rest of the Hawaii Army National Guard soldiers returned home from participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom III.
They said that training may begin as early as mid-summer 2008. 12 month deployment.
Again.
